New Years 2002!

For New Years 02 style we decided to meet up with our good friends the Greckos and have some fun in the mountains.  We all headed up to Highlands, N.C. driving matching trucks (complete with the matching front license plate from River Wilderness!)  The weather couldn't have been better with highs in the mid thirties and lows in the teens.  I might add that it's a nice change from the Florida warmth.

We hiked up mountains (Whiteside Mtn,) walked under ice dripping water falls (Dry Falls) and roasted marshmallows in a huge bon fire behind the house.  Don and I also completed about four holes of golf at Wildcat Cliffs before our hands became too numb!  I might add that we had a great private fireworks show for the kids (and adults) with only the intensity you could buy in Slapout.  I kid you not, these were some serious fireworks!
